First Look: Brine Opens in the Mosaic District



The Mosaic District landed another culinary coup last night with the official grand opening of Brine, a restaurant related to the ever-popular Rappahannock Oyster Bar in DC’s Union Market, Rappahannock Restaurant in Richmond and Merroir in Topping, VA. Owner Travis Croxton, who revived Rappahannock Oyster Co. with his cousin, Ryan, says oyster fans will be treated to the company’s signature Chesapeake Bay bivalves in addition to those from other suppliers, plus locally sourced products like lamb from Border Springs Farm and such cocktails as the Spring Fling made with strawberry-infused pisco and black pepper-rhubarb syrup.
